It’s always a pleasure to share my thoughts with you. I have recently redesigned this website into what I hope offers a more friendly experience to its users. A few weeks ago I promised my FB friends that in the near future I would start posting blogs on this website. I guess today constitutes that future.
When scheduling meetings with a person, often in other cities, states, or even foreign countries I would always communicate to them some identifying features such as: I will be wearing turquoise slacks, no shirt, purple tie, pink and green knee length socks, and a green shoe on my right hand. After all, they always asked how will I recognize you? My response, no way you can miss me!!!
This is a bit over-the-top, but my statement to you is this: I will recognize you one day regardless of your choice of dress. Here’s how!
I will know you because:
You are created in the image of God.
You are beautifully and wonderfully made.
I will recognize you by the crown you are wearing. A crown of life placed on your head by the almighty hand of God.
You are my eternal brother or sister in Christ, so how would I not know you?
You will know others as you are also known.
One of the most beautiful images found in the Bible is seen in Revelation 22:1 where John writes, “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Can you imagine looking into a river, clear as crystal and there on the surface of this mirrored water is the reflection of the face of Jesus Christ, the Son of God smiling up at you? I will also know Him and will certainly recognize that image. The good news is that He knows me.
